<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external facing material which can be conveyed or stored in a stacked state and also applied to a normal external facing structure, and which presents a continuous wave shape in a laid state; and to provide the external facing structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Characteristically, the external facing material 1, in which a plurality of protrusive portions 12 protruding to a front side from a base surface portion 11 are formed, presents the continuous wave shape; one horizontal end is equipped with a folded engaging portion 13 which is formed by folding back a leading end of the base surface portion 11 to the backside and elongating it to one side; and an insertion portion 14 for being inserted into the folded engaging portion 13 in the laid state thereof is provided at the other end thereof.
