PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of preventing the deformation of a door and defective sealing of a storage compartment. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator 1 in which the storage compartments 2, 3 are opened and closed by the doors 4, 5 respectively constituted by fitting door caps 24, 33 composed of resin moldings to upper and lower parts of jacket materials 21, 31 vertically disposed, and packing foam insulation 25 inside thereof, at least one of the upper and lower door caps 24, 33 can be separated from the foam insulation material 25, and has vertical parts 42, 47, 48 vertically projecting from a bottom surface and facing the foam insulation 25, and a projecting part 43 horizontally projecting from the vertical parts 42, 47, 48.
