PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle restraining apparatus for reducing the number of test preparation processes, and a test time. SOLUTION: The vehicle restraining apparatus 6 includes a jack 13. Predetermined types of tires are replaced with different types of tires mounted to a to-be-tested vehicle 4. When the tire is replaced if a fuel consumption measurement is needed in the to-be-tested vehicle 4, the jack 13 provided in the vehicle restraining apparatus 6 copes with a tire replacement. It is not necessary to prepare the jack independent of the vehicle restraining apparatus. The number of the apparatuses and an installation space of the apparatus are reduced. A disposition work of the jack to a predetermined section and a movement work for moving the jack from the predetermined section can occur in a technology in which the jack is provided independent of the vehicle restraining apparatus, and are eliminated. A preparation of the fuel consumption measurement can be easily and rapidly implemented. The fuel consumption test can be rapidly implemented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
