<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a liquid droplet delivery head capable of excellently removing solids attached to the opening end of a nozzle while suppressing a consumption of ink. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for cleaning a liquid droplet delivery head 20 is provided which includes the nozzle 111 that deliveries functional liquid and a channel section N in communication with the nozzle 111, wherein the interiors of the nozzle 111 and channel section N are cleaned with a cleaning liquid 61 containing a solid powder 62 having at least a smaller diameter than a diameter of aperture in the nozzle 111.
