POROUS HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE AND POROUS HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE FOR PROCESSING PROTEIN-CONTAINING LIQUID
摘要
Disclosed is a porous hollow fiber membrane which is capable of efficiently separating and removing a substance to be removed such as a small-diameter virus contained in a solution while simultaneously efficiently transmitting a useful substance to be recovered such as a protein, and for which the decline in the transmittance over time is small. The porous hollow fiber membrane is characterized in that: the filtration downstream surface thereof has dot-shaped or slit-shaped openings; the filtration upstream surface thereof is comprised of a mesh structure or a fine grain aggregate structure; the central region of the membrane thickness portion is comprised of an essentially homogenous structure; the membrane thickness portion is comprised of a structure which essentially does not have macro-voids; the transmission rate for pure water is 10-300 L/(h·m2·bar); and the transmission rate for a 0.1 wt% bovine ?-globulin solution is 30-100% of the transmission rate for pure water. In addition, the membrane is characterized in that the transmission rate for a 0.1 wt%-20 mmol/L phosphate buffer solution of bovine ?-globulin is 30-100% of the transmission rate for a 0.1 wt%-phosphate buffer normal saline solution.
