<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for information verification by two-dimensional codes capable of performing personal identification with respect to articles such as an identification card or credit card, and having a means for counterfeit prevention. <P>SOLUTION: The information verification method by two-dimensional codes uses two-dimensional codes consisting of dots 4 in which unit cells are vertically and horizontally arranged into n×m (where n or m is a natural number). The method comprises: a step for acquiring marking patterns of two-dimensional codes applied to the articles; a step for acquiring the marking patterns when the two-dimensional codes are applied to the articles; and a step for comparing the marking patterns acquired from the articles with the marking patterns when the two-dimensional codes are applied to the articles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
