Vacuum cleaner with a centrifugal separator

The cleaner has a centrifugal separator with an air inlet channel (3), which is connected with a suction air guide for dust-loaded suction air. An air outlet (6) is connected with a separating chamber via an immersion pipe (7). The separator includes an air guiding unit (8) with a surface (9), which is produced by a continuous twist (10) of a spatial curve e.g. convex curve, around an axis of the separator. The air guiding unit includes a continuous, progressive or declining inclination in a direction of the twist.
