Gate with escape door and adjustable profiled stabiliser

The gate has elongate stabilizers (3) moved within a profiled base (13) along a longitudinal axis. A profile of the stabilizers with support regions contacts the profiled base in a sliding region (15). The sliding region is formed complementary to the support regions. The sliding region is arranged within a gate plate (1) or an escape door (2). The profiled base and the support regions are spaced at a distance from each other outside of the sliding region and the support regions. The escape door is mounted in a notch (11) emanating from a gate lower edge (12) of the gate plate. An independent claim is also included for a method for opening and closing a gate with an escape door.
