The invention relates to measurement technology, in particular, to means of displacement measurement and can be used in different fields, including building, for measuring deformations of structural elements, soil deformation characteristics, vibration parameters, control of technological processes and directed to enhancement of measurement accuracy of displacements and widening their range. There proposed a method of measurement of linear displacement of an object comprising directing a formed light beam onto a reflecting beam connected with an object, registration of the reflected light beam, converting into an electrical signal and determining the displacement value in accordance with registered values of said signal which differs in that a reflecting element connected with the object represents a matrix consisting of one reflecting element or of two parallel rows of reflecting elements shifted by vertical between the rows, wherein each reflecting element is realized so that the width of its reflecting surface changes depending on the X coordinate in the direction of the object displacement. |
