<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electron emitting thin film capable of emitting electrons in a low electric field; to provide an electrode substrate; and to provide an electron emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing an electron emitting thin film, first a composite elastomer is provided by mixing an elastomer, metal particles and carbon nano-fibers; next a coating liquid is provided by mixing the composite elastomer and a solvent; further a coating 5 is formed by applying the coating liquid to a substrate; and finally the elastomer included in the coating is removed by heat-treating the coating 5, and a molten metal is impregnated into the coating to form the thin film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
