The dryer (1) has a fluff filter (7) for filtering fluff in a process air channel (5) of the dryer, and a cleaning device (9) for cleaning the filter. The filter is arranged in a compartment inclined at an angle (alpha). A cleaning opening is located in an upper region of the filter for directing a cleaning liquid (W) e.g. water, onto a filter surface of the filter. The cleaning opening is designed as a nozzle (16) and aligned under an angle to a filter surface of the filter. A liquid line (18) is led into an inflow chamber (11). An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a filter of a laundry dryer. |
