PURPOSE: A section filtering method and a device thereof are provided to remove a phenomenon that an application is filter-blocked by an error when an application starts section filtering. CONSTITUTION: A demodulator(312) demodulates a received digital broadcasting signal. A processor(350) receives a section filtering request from an application. The processor extracts filter parameters included in the received request. When a negative filter mask parameter is a specific value which blocks a section filter among the extracted filter parameters, the processor returns determined values for exception-handle in an application. |
