PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus, a data setting apparatus, a method for setting a parameter and recording a medium recording program are provided to improve the efficiency of an inspection line and reduce the burden of an operator by collectively and automatically setting up parametric variables. CONSTITUTION: A mode switching manager(162) manages the mode switching between a parameter setting mode providing a function of the image processing apparatus and a normal mode which provides a multifunction. If the parametric variable setting mode is set up, a network information setting unit(156) sets up a network address and a resource address. A network communicator(160) transfers the parametric variable transmitted form the data setting apparatus to the resource address. A parametric variable setting unit(166) sets up the parametric variable as a control value which provides the multifunction of the image processing apparatus.
