PURPOSE: An initial arranging method for a rolling roll is provided to organize a roll to make the up and down of the thickness about the whole roll in a big sign curve. CONSTITUTION: An initial arranging method for a rolling roll comprises: a step of classifying coils, even if adjust the number of them they are not violate the width restrict condition, with width groups; a step of deciding a beginning thickness value of I number width group; and a step of deciding an ending thickness value of I number width group in order to simplify the shape of I number width group. The width restrict condition comprises a width downstream constraint condition and a reverse width restrict condition. The width restrict condition gives the priority to the reverse width restrict condition.
