SLEEP MODE OPERATION METHOD FOR AN MS WITH MULTI-CARRIER

PURPOSE: A method for operating a power save mode of a terminal operated by multiple carrier frequency is provided to save energy consumption according to each carrier frequency by performing a power saving operation mode according to each carrier frequency. CONSTITUTION: An MS(mobile station)(100) requests a power saving mode based on index information according to carrier frequency(S301). The MS receives a power saving mode response according to index information(S302). The MS sets up the power saving mode which is different according to the carrier frequency in consideration of the quality property of traffic. The MS performs the power saving mode according to a power saving type.
