PURPOSE: A personalization service providing method and a system of the IPTV are provided to receive the contents easily individualized through the button input of the remote control terminal. CONSTITUTION: A personalization data management unit(220) loads personalized data corresponding to the personalization code received from the remote control terminal. The personalization code comprises the user identification. A personalization control signal generating unit(240) generates the individualized control signal corresponding to the loaded personalized data. A personalization offering environment unit(250) offers the personalization contents which at least reflects one among the loaded personalized data and personalization control signal.
