PURPOSE: A clamping detecting device of an index table is provided to prevent damage to an sensor due to the excessive power. CONSTITUTION: A clamping detecting device of an index table comprises a contact shaft(130), an elastic supporting body, a horizontal shaft(140), a pivot guide(150), and a contact sensor(160). The upper part of the contact shaft is projected on the upper side of a fixed table(120) and is touched with the lower part of a turn-table(110). The elastic supporting body supports the contact shaft in the lower part. The horizontal shaft has a connecting end part and a projected end part. The connecting end part vertically slides with the contact shaft. The projected end part is projected over an exterior of the fixed table. The pivot guide support the horizontal shaft by the surface.
