PURPOSE: A cutting tool control method using a numerical control device is provided to perform a cutting process by adding a step for detecting the rotation state of a work piece. CONSTITUTION: A cutting tool control method using a numerical control device is as follows. A cutting tool is located in a surface of a workpiece(S110). The cutting tool is transferred to a rotary shaft of the work piece. The cutting tool processes the surface of the work piece(S120). If the cutting is completed, the transfer termination of the cutting tool is identified(S130). The cutting tool transferred along the surface of the work piece arrives in a finish point. The work piece additionally revolves(S140). The cutting tool is separated from the surface of the work piece(S150).
