PURPOSE: A device and a method for detecting surface Plasmon resonance are provided to improve portability of the device by integrally coupling a light source part to a detecting part. CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting surface Plasmon resonance comprises a light source part and a detecting part(30). The light source emits polarized beam. The detecting part has a surface Plasmon resonance generator(40) and a temperature sensor(80). The surface Plasmon resonance generator generates surface Plasmon resonance using the polarized beam. The temperature sensor measures a temperature change of the surface Plasmon resonance generator.
