DISTORTION COMPENSATION APPARATUS AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A distortion compensating device and method are provided to prevent out-of-band radiation power from rising by maintaining a compensating curve to be similar with an ideal compensating curve regardless of the level change of transmission signal. CONSTITUTION: An initial coefficient memory(113) remembers series operation coefficients which is capable of being the initial value of a coefficient renewal process in a coefficient renewal unit(111). A power fluctuation detector(112) detects a fluctuation in the power of a transmission signal. The power fluctuation detector reads series operation coefficients from the initial coefficient memory and supplies the series operation coefficients to the coefficient renewal unit. The coefficient renewal unit renews the series operation coefficients. A distortion compensating unit performs a distortion compensation process by a series operation process.
