摘要 PURPOSE: A white light emitting diode is provided to ensure thermal and chemical stability and to have high color rendering characteristic and light emitting efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A white light emitting diode is denoted by chemical formula 1: Ba_(2-x)Re_xAl_ySi_(5-y)N_8. The white light emitting diode contains a nitride red phosphors having 300-550nm of excitation wave length and 520-700nm of emission wave length. A nitride red phosphors is mixed in a transparent epoxy or silicon resin and is applied on a chip which forms a light emitting diode light source by a dispensing method. In chemical formula 1, 0 < x <= 0.6, 0 < y <= 5; and Re is at least one or more rare earth element or transition metal element selected from the group consisting Ce, Pr, Eu, Tb, Yb, Er, and Mn.
