PURPOSE: An upward light source apparatus of a PON system and a light source generation method thereof are provided to supply in order to include a plane gain property and a dispersion compensation property. CONSTITUTION: An amplification unit(210) amplifies an injection light. A reflection unit(220) is inputted the amplified injection light. The reflection unit generates a reflection light including a light delay different according to a wavelength of the amplified injection light. The reflection unit decides a reflective rate according to the wavelength of the amplified injection light. The amplification unit includes a gain waveguide for amplifying the injection light.
