HIGH TENACITY POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE FIBERS AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Polyethylene terephthalate high intensity fiber and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve elasticity while reducing a melting point without degradation of polymerization of polyethylene terephthalate resin. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of polyethylene terephthalate high intensity fiber includes the following steps: adding polyamide resin in polyethylene terephthalate resin with inherent viscosity in a 1.0-1.4 range; manufacturing melt-extruded fiber by extruding the resin in 285-310°C; rapidly solidifying the melt-extruded fiber; winding the solidified fiber with a spinning speed of 1,000-3,000m/min; and multi-stage drawing the winded fiber with the total stretching ratio of 3.5 times or less.
