FLAME RETARDANT THERMOSETTING RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A flame retardant thermosetting resin composition is provided to minimize the environmental contamination while including the excellent fire retardant property, and to obtain the excellent heat impact property. CONSTITUTION: A flame retardant thermosetting resin composition contains 100 parts of epoxy resin by weight and 1~30 parts of brominated diphenyl ethane compound by weight. The epoxy resin is selected from a bisphenol system, a naphthalene system, a phenolnovolak system, a cycloaliphatic system, and an amine-based polyfunctional epoxy resin. The equivalent of epoxy is 50~600 gram per eq. The brominated diphenyl ethane compound is formed by brominating diphenyl ethane, and contains 5~85wt% of hexabromodiphenylethane.
