Carriage (7) by means of gear (9) and coupling (10) is attached to reversible motor (11). Near-bottomhole ends (5 and 6) of electrodes (1 and 2) do not have insulation coatings, bent and face each other, thus forming an inter-electrode gap. Above carriage (7) on electrodes (1 and 2) there fixed are transported cargos (16 and 17), and on those loads - switches (18 and 19) of motor (11) rotation direction. The device allows automating the movement of electrodes (1 and 2) when cutting rocks (25) and artificial current non-conducting materials. ^ EFFECT: increasing cutting efficiency of rocks and artificial current non-conducting materials with high-voltage pulse discharges. ^ 4 cl, 1 ex, 2 dwg
