Preparing kaki extract, comprises percolation of one or more fluids, under a pressure of at least 3 bars (3x 10 5>Pa), through a solid or pasty substance containing one or more kaki or pieces of kaki. An independent claim is included for cosmetic treatment of keratin materials such as hair, comprising preparing the extract of kaki, optionally mixing the obtained extract to one or more solvents and/or one or more additives, and applying the obtained extract in the preparation step or mixture obtained in mixing step on the keratin materials.
