Coloring keratin fibers, preferably human keratin fibers such as hair, in the presence of an oxidizing agent, comprises applying an anhydrous cosmetic composition (A) comprising one or more fatty substance and one or more surfactants, a cosmetic composition (B) comprising one or more oxidation dyes and/or one or more direct dyes and one or more organic amine salts having a negative logarithm of base dissociation constant (pKb) value of less than 12 at 25[deg] C; and a composition (C) comprising one or more oxidizing agents, on the fibers. Independent claims are included for: (1) the anhydrous composition comprising one or more fatty substances, one or more surfactants, one or more oxidation dyes and/or direct dyes, and one or more organic acid salts; and (2) device with several compartments comprising a first compartment containing (A); a second compartment containing (B); and a third compartment containing (C).
