METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF INGUINAL HERNIA IN AGED PATIENTS WITH THE AID OF MESHED PROSTHESIS

A method for the surgical treatment of the inguinal hernia in the aged patients with the aid of the meshed prosthesis provides for cutting the opening in the mesh for the spermatic cord. The internal inguinal ring is reinforced with &OHgr; -shaped patch providing for the anatomical restoration of the internal inguinal ring and the homogenous distribution of intraabdominal pressure in this area.
