PURPOSE: An automatic tool changer is provided to handle long type tools by performing the stable tool exchange by preventing inertial moment. CONSTITUTION: An automatic tool changer comprises a fixing frame(110), a lifting frame(120), a transfer system(130), a slide plate(150), a first and a second actuators(160,162), and a tool gripper(170). The fixing frame is installed in one side of a machine tool(200). The lifting frame installed in front of the rigid frame is ascended and descended. The transfer system raises the lifting frame. The slide plate is installed in front of the lifting frame, and horizontally slid. The first actuator linearly moves the slide plate. The second actuator is arranged in one side of the slide plate. The tool gripper is horizontally arranged in front of the slide plate.
