Protection of the blast furnace tuyere region includes a tuyere arch with telescopic disposed in it tuyere-cooling plate and tuyeres, and laying with refractory brick. It is additionally equipped with disposed around the tuyere-cooling plate and tuyere and made from the heat resisting concrete protective unit, the inner surface of which is made with the clearance space to the outer surfaces of the tuyere-cooling plate and tuyere, and the end part of the unit is spaced from tuyere end at the distance equal to 0.1-1 of the diameter of its outlet.
