The assembly (1) has a fuel injector (2) and a fuel tank (3) connected with each other by a fuel return pipe (4). A chamber (5) is connected to the pipe and placed between the injector and the tank, where the chamber has a movable chamber wall (6) so as to vary an inner volume (V) of the chamber and includes a mechanical stress unit i.e. coil shaped metallic part (8), of the wall for forcing displacement of the wall based on changes of temperature (T) of fuel transferred via the pipe and adjusting a fuel content capacity of the assembly based on the temperature of the transferred fuel.
