<p>Disclosed is an organic EL device (1) comprising an anode (3), a cathode (4) and an organic thin film layer (10) arranged between the anode (3) and the cathode (4). The organic thin film layer (10) has a light-emitting layer (5) containing a host material and a phosphorescent material, and a hole transport layer (6) which is arranged closer to the anode (3) than the light-emitting layer (5). The hole transport layer (6) has a first hole transport layer (61) and a second hole transport layer (62) sequentially from the anode side. The first hole transport layer (61) contains an amino compound represented by the formula (1) below, which is substituted by an aromatic substituent, and the second hole transport layer (62) contains at least one compound represented by one of the formulae (2)-(5) below.</p> |
