APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR START-UP OF A SENSORLESS BLDC MOTOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for start-up of a sensor-less bldc motor are provided to prevent a failure of staring by controlling motor speed through estimation of the rotator speed. CONSTITUTION: A PWM controller(140) controls the on/OFF state of the inverter(130) offering a driving voltage to a motor(160). A voltage / frequency control part(300) outputs a low speed control signal to the PWM controller. A sensor-less control part compares a command speed with an estimated speed based on the voltage and current of the motor. The sensor-less control part(400) outputs the high speed control signal to the PWM controller in order to control the speed of the motor. A control algorithm switching part(200) selects the voltage / frequency control part and sensor-less control part based on the command speed.
