The arrangement has an upper transverse gauge (1) connected to right and left side gauges (2, 3), where a position of the transverse gauge in three directions (x-z) is determined with respect to the right and left side gauges. The transverse gauge extends across width of a motor vehicle in one of the directions so as to allow precise positioning of a front facade element of a motor vehicle. The gauge includes a rear crosspiece (8) and right and left anterior side parts (6, 7) in a form of thin plates extending less than half of total length of the rear crosspiece. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting an element of a front facade of a motor vehicle.
