PURPOSE: A de-interlacing method, a de-interlacing apparatus and an image display system including the same are provided to alleviate a movement distortion phenomenon in progressive frames by generating the progressive frames with the movement distortion phenomenon to be separated from each other. CONSTITUTION: An interlacing unit(130) generates fields by interlacing successively film frames. A field storing unit(150) receives and stores a previous field, a present field, and a nest field. A de-interlacing unit(170) de-interlaces the previous field and the present field to generate a first progressive frame and de-interlaces the present field and the nest filed to generate a second progressive frame. A display unit(190) displays the first and the second progressive frames on a screen.
