PURPOSE: A contents play device of a portable device and a method thereof are provided to implement more tactile and sensible audio listening function by variously outputting vibration patterns. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit stores contents including audio data, and an input unit(110) generates an input signal for reproducing the stored contents. A controller(160) confirms whether or not the vibration patterns linked to the contents are stored. If the vibration patterns exist, the controller controls the vibration patterns to be synchronized with the contents reproduction when the contents are reproduced.
