PURPOSE: Padding and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to effectively keep warmth through a layer for keeping warmth including feathers and to effectively prevent the feathers from sticking out by strongly fixing the feathers to the inner part of the warmth keeping layer. CONSTITUTION: Padding includes inner cloth(1), outer cloth(2), and feathers(9a). A layer(6) for keeping warmth is prepared between the inner cloth and the outer cloth. The layer for keeping warmth comprises a web(7a,7b) which is composed of low melting fiber(9b) and high melting fiber(9c) and a member(7) for keeping warmth which includes a feather layer(7c). A method for manufacturing the padding comprises the following steps: laminating the web and the feather layer together and arranging the feather layer between the web; preparing the member for keeping warmth by fixing the feather layer between the web; and fixing the inner cloth and outer cloth on both sides of the member for keeping warmth. |
