<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor for keeping high definition in the shape of a character image included in an image, which is converted in resolution, even concerning the image with halftone dots, and to provide an image processing method for the image processor. <P>SOLUTION: RGB pixel data of a pixel, which is adjacent to a pixel of interest and indicates that character shape data are of character pixel, are determined as RGB pixel data of the character pixel. A matching pattern is generated, which expresses pixel arrangement that indicates that the RGB pixel data are the RGB pixel data of the character pixel and also the character shape data are of the character pixel. When the generated matching pattern coincides with a prescribed matching pattern which indicates character shape pixel arrangement, the magnified pixel of interest is interpolated by the RGB pixel data of the character pixel in response to the character pixel arrangement when magnification processing is performed in the pixel of interest included in the prescribed matching pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
