<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an information processing apparatus capable of suppressing an encryption processing amount and an encryption text size; an information processing method; and a program. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus has: a group selector that generates a patrolling group utilized in encryption communication based on multi-recipient public key encryption technique that is carried out between a plurality of key processing devices; a parameter selector that selects a plurality of parameters that is used for a process executed in the key processing device, that does not include unique secret information to each of the plurality of key processing devices, and that includes a parameter used in each of the plurality of key processing devices in common; and a function selector that is used for a process related to generation or decoding of encryption text, and selects a function of achieving a predetermined mapping.
