<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic apparatus for controlling the output of signals and the acquisition of response signals to it at accurate timing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Earphones 20R and 20L have a first function of converting an electric signal to an acoustic signal and a second function of converting an acoustic signal to an electric signal, and a measuring electric signal is converted to an acoustic signal by the first function and output to a measurement object. A response acoustic signal from the measurement object is converted to a response electric signal by the second function. The first function and the second function are switched by a switch part (SW1-SW4). The changeover of the functions by the switch part is controlled by a switch control part (110-113) on the basis of the signal of at least one channel among sound source signals of a plurality of channels.
