A novel pesticide is provided. The present invention provides a pesticide containing, as an active ingredient, a pyridyl-methanamine derivative represented by the formula (I) or its salt: wherein R1 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, a heterocyclic group, etc.; each of R2 and R3 which are independent of each other, is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, a heterocyclic group, etc.; R4 is trifluoromethyl or chlorodifluoromethyl; R5 is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, alkyl, etc.; each of R6 and R7 which are independent of each other, is hydrogen, cyano, alkyl, haloalkyl, etc.; R8 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkoxyalkoxyalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, halogen, haloalkyl, cyano, nitro, etc.; and n is an integer of from 0 to 4.
