Provided is an elevator including fall prevention safety handles that are disposed on both sides of an opening part of a wall provided with an outer door of the elevator such that a user quickly holds the safety handle before falling, so as to prevent a falling accident. The elevator includes a cage configured to carry a person or a load up and down, an inner door at a front surface of the cage, the inner door configured to be selectively opened, an outer door at an opening part that is provided to a wall corresponding to the inner door, the outer door being interlocked with the inner door to selectively open the opening part, and fall prevention safety handles at left and right inner lateral surfaces of the opening part, the safety handle being elongated in an up-and-down direction such that a user holds the safety handle in emergency. |
