PURPOSE: A system and a method for recommending the IPTV(Internet Protocol TV) contents are provided to specialize according to user by using the face verification technology. The user identification process is proceeded through the face recognition although TV is watched. CONSTITUTION: The information collecting part(2810) uses the face recognition algorithm. The user profile information including registration and the discriminated user viewing tendency information is collected from the user terminal. The recommendation contents list generating unit(2820) is created the recommendation contents list for user based on the watching tendency information.
