<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter-receiver that is attachable/detachable to a host apparatus and executes optical transmission and reception processings, and that can manage operation history. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmitter-receiver executes optical transmission and reception processings and includes a first memory and an external interface that writes input information input from the host apparatus to the first memory and reads out the input information written in the first memory to the outside, according to a command from the outside.
