<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more effectively improve durability of switching elements and power conversion efficiency in a power converter control unit. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter control unit 10 includes an inverter 14, and a motor control section 18 for setting dead time and controlling the inverter 14. The motor control section 18 includes: a map storage means 52 for storing a map indicating a single turn-off delay time characteristics that become larger as the voltage across both ends becomes higher in the drive of the IGBT of the inverter 14, becomes smaller as a passing current becomes larger in the drive of the IGBT, and become larger as the temperature of the IGBT becomes higher; and a correction means 58 for correcting the dead time, based on the single turn-off delay time characteristic stored by the map storage means 52, the voltage across both ends in the estimation drive of the IGBT, the passing current in the estimation drive, and the estimation temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
