<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which even in printing with a small-diameter spherical toner, a high-quality print image free of streaky fog due to faulty cleaning of toner can be obtained without toner slipping. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method, toner remaining on a photoreceptor, on an intermediate transfer belt and on a secondary transfer member is cleaned with a cleaning blade. The toner comprises toner particles (A) and resin particles (B), the toner particles (A) have a circularity of 0.930-0.990 and a median diameter on a number basis (D<SB>50</SB>) of 3.0-8.0 μm, and the resin particles (B) have a circularity of 0.70-0.92 and the ratio of (D<SB>50</SB>) of the resin particles (B) to (D<SB>50</SB>) of the toner particles (A) is 0.15-0.60. The cleaning blade has an impact elastic modulus of 35-60% and a free length of 8-12 mm, and the cleaning blade is brought into contact in a counter direction at a contact angle of 15-30° and a contact pressure of 10-40 N/m. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
