<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the service life of a cleaning member by preventing failing of the cleaning member that is caused by a residual toner. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this fixing device, cleaning rollers 43a and 43b as cleaning members of a fixing roller 41 and a pressure roller 42 are pressure-contacted to the fixing roller 41 and the pressure roller 42, and cleaning pads 44a and 44b are further pressure-contacted to the cleaning rollers 43a and 43b, respectively. The fixing device includes sheet heating elements (heaters) 46a and 46b for heating the cleaning rollers 43a and 43b and cleaning pads 44a and 44b to fuse the toner.
