<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine capable of quickly finding an abnormality in the operation of a sorting movable means so that damage caused by unnecessary trouble or fraudulence can be prevented. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pinball game machine includes the sorting movable means capable of changing the state between a specific guiding state for guiding game balls into a specific area and a regular guiding state other than the specific guiding state, and a sorting control means for controlling the sorting movable means to change the state alternately to the specific guiding state and to the regular guiding state. The pinball game machine is configured to create a profitable state based on that game balls are guided to the specific area. The pinball game machine also has an origin detection switch 71 configured to change the state to a specific detection state or a non-specific detection state in response to the change of the state between the specific guiding state and the regular guiding state. An error is determined when the time of continuance of the specific detection state exceeds a specific error determination time (S32:Yes) or when the time of continuance of the non-specific detection state exceeds a non-specific error determination time (S33:Yes).
