摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device, restraining increase in contact resistance between a conductive layer exposed by a contact hole of an interlayer insulating film formed between a pair of electrodes, and the electrodes. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the liquid crystal display device 100 has processes of: forming the interlayer insulating film 20 made of an organic film to cover a common potential wiring 17 and a pixel electrode 19; forming the contact hole 20a in a region corresponding to the common potential wiring 17 of the interlayer insulating film 20; etching the surfaces of the common potential wiring 17 and the interlayer insulating film 20 exposed by the contact hole 20a; and forming a common electrode 21 connected to the common potential wiring 17 through the contact hole 20a and disposed opposite the pixel electrode 19 with the interlayer insulating film 20 interposed between them.
