<p>An object measuring device not performing unnecessary scanning of an object which cannot be an obstacle. A part of a reflected laser beam emitted toward the whole irradiation area is sensed, and thereby objects other than the road surface present in the irradiation area are identified. When the objects are identified, the spread angles of the laser beams for measuring the identified objects with a necessary accuracy are determined. When the spread angles are determined, the laser beams with the determined spread angles are projected to the respective objects to measure the objects.</p> |
